Both shooters are looking forward to competing at the National Matches this summer.

This update; August 8 2016:

Two of RWSC members just returned from The National Pistol Matches held in Port Clinton, Ohio, on the military site of Camp Perry. Kevin Vacura and Jeff Ekblad spent a week shooting during what some refer to as " The World Series of the shooting sports". This was Jeff's 2nd trip to the big match and in spite of a few gun issues here and there, he did quite well. Some of the highlights include; earning 10 points toward his Distinguished Pistol Shot Badge by finishing 7th among non distinguished shooters in the NTI match. He also had numerous top 3 finishes in .22, centerfire and .45 to garner him a 5th place aggregate in the Sharpshooter class. Jeff's been shooting so well, he came home to a new Expert Classification card! Kevin finished 10th overall and won the centerfire, rapid fire match. He was on the two man team that won .22 and centerfire. Took a 3rd in the Distinguished Revolver match and made the Presidents 100. It was a wonderful week of shooting, shopping and comrodery with a bunch of shooting enthusiasts. If you ever want to check the National Matches off your bucket list, be sure to get more info from Kevin or Jeff about how it's done.
